A week from today we celebrate Palm Sunday. Our Blessed Lords arrival into Jerusalem greeted by the throng of people waving palm branches and singing “Hossanna in the Highest”. Next Sunday our Bishop will be here to celebrate the nine o’clock Mass and the Mass will begin (weather permitting) with a procession. The procession will begin on the South Side of the parish school and go around to the front doors of the Cathedral. I ask as many as can, attending the Mass, to greet us there to be part of the procession. I encourage you to take part in this most beautiful part of the Holy Week we begin this Sunday.

Please make sure you keep your bulletin handy for times of scheduled confessions, Mass times, and times of the beautiful ceremonies during Holy Week. If you have not experienced the Chrism Mass here at the Cathedral, I encourage you to plan on coming. It is truly a beautiful Mass and renewal of the promises made by the priests to the and the Church on the day of their ordination. Also, the beautiful blessing of the oils and chrism used throughout the year for the Sacraments.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME THIS WEEK TO SPEND THE TIME TO RECALL THE BEAUTIFUL EVENTS THAT LED UP TO THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD.
