It seems impossible we have finished the first week of the Lenten Season. We also had a little taste of the weather that hopefully will be here soon.

I would like to take the opportunity to remind you of the Lenten Mission this coming week. We have been working for many months preparing and striving to make this a meaningful time for people in the parish. We waited until after the time change so more of the people who don't like to drive after darkness can be here. At this time, it is staying light until around 8:30 and the mission begins and 7 and lasts around 45 to 60 minutes. So, it will still be light. Our speakers for the week come highly recommended and we look forward to their words of wisdom and as they challenge us to live out the Gospel message, we can go forth to live out our faith more fully. I think you will find it a most worthwhile week. We ask that you help fulfill the call of the Lord to give to the needy by asking everyone to bring nonperishable food items for the Saint Vincent de Paul food collection. You can bring it every night or when you can. Also, a special collection will be taken up on the last night of the mission for the poor and needy that the Saint Vincent de Paul society works so diligently to help in our area.

Of course, the FISH FRY is Friday night to top off the week. This has always been a great event in the parish and we are looking forward to Fish Fry Friday!!
