I used to think that December was the busiest time of the year, but I have had second thoughts. I think May has to be with First Communion, Mother’s Day, Baccalaureate Mass for the eight grade Catholic Schools over the whole city, May Procession and crowning of Mary, Marian High School Baccalaureate and our grade school graduations and the ending of the school year, retirement parties for teachers and staff and on and on. It is a good time, but a busy time.

In the month of June, the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, there will be a holy hour following the Wednesday evening Mass from 6PM until 7PM. Confessions will be available at this time. The Blessed Sacrament will be in Exposition and a chance for people to come and pray. This was discussed at Parish Council and it was decided it would be a good thing to do at this time during so much unrest in the world today. So we will begin on June 5th.

Just a reminder to adults who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation that it will take place here, in the Cathedral at the 4PM Mass on June 15th. The proper papers must be filed with the diocese and you can obtain them by calling or stopping in the parish office.

PLEASE remember not to leave items on the seats of your vehicle when attending Mass or visiting church. The North doors are open from 6AM until 6PM all week if you wish to stop in to make a visit. The church is locked after Baptisms on Sunday afternoon.

This week we are switching from heating to air conditioning. Does that mean Spring is finally here?
