St. Matthew Cathedral, in collaboration with the Knights Of Columbus Council #5521, will be participating again in the Matthew 25 Build for Habitat for Humanity.  The Matthew 25 Build is sponsored each year by a number of area churches which provide volunteer and financial support.  The build provides the opportunity to fulfill the dream of owning a home to a low income family that has fulfilled the requirements of hundreds of volunteer hours, showing financial responsibility, and learning home maintenance in order to qualify for an affordable mortgage.  Volunteer opportunities to work on the build will be available for August 10 from 11:30 to 2:30  pm and on October 12 from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

A second collection will also be taken on the weekend of August 3-4 to provide financial support.  Dan Tychonievich and/or Jim Kramer will be in the back vestibule after all Masses on the weekend of August 3-4 to provide information about Habitat and the Matthew 25 build, answer questions and assist people to volunteer.  If you have any questions, you can contact Dan Tychonievich at (574)993-4110 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
