Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (COGS) is an approach to religious formation designed to meet the developmental needs of the child ages 3 through 12 years old. It is rooted in sacred scripture and liturgy of the church. Children gather in an "atrium," a room specially prepared for them, which contains beautiful materials that they use to ponder the mysteries of the faith. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classes offer children a hands-on approach to learning more about their faith while inviting them into deeper relationship with God.
Registration for St. Matthew parish families is being accepted online now.
Registration for non-parish families is also being accepted online now.
Classes will begin on or after September 3.
Catechists will contact families with more details once class lists are finalized.
A child must be 3 years old by September 1.
