We have come to expect excellence from our St. Matthew Cathedral School students both in the classroom and in their extracurricular endeavors. Our students have not only met that expectation, but exceeded it! From science to music, from sports to art, our students continue to make good use of their talent.

The Science Fair at St. Matthew Cathedral School took place on January 24.  Many of the projects were so outstanding, choosing the winners proved a difficult task for our judges!

Our abbreviated Catholic Schools Week celebration concluded with a little friendly cometition when the SMCS Staff took on the 8th Grade Students in the Volleyball Game.

Congratulations to Emma Barkley (flute solo), Brea VanSickle (clarinet solo), and the trio of Joseph Hunckler (trumpet), Devin Miller (trombone), and Aidan Schacht (trumpet) who all won Gold medals at this year's ISSMA District Solo and Ensemble competition.

Scholastic Art Awards

Congratulations to Patrick Loesch who won the Gold Key inthe Scholastic Art Awards.  This competition is the most comprehensive national annual assessment of the creative spirit among American teens.  We are so proud of you, Patrick!
