Welcome New Teachers
My name is Gisella Mancini. I am excited for the opportunity to be the new kindergarten teacher at your school. I have been a parishioner at St. Matthew Cathedral since the early 1990s. When I joined the parish part of my family were already parishioners. Joe and Gail Mancini as well as their three children - Blair, Stephanie and Matthew Mancini - had been parishioners and involved in the parish school. Following them to various school functions and sporting activities began my love for St. Matthew Cathedral School.
In the meantime, my own family began to grow. Patrick, Christopher and Luke Foust were all baptized at St. Matthew Cathedral Church. Christopher and Luke later became students of the school and were confirmed and graduated from St. Matthew. Although a Marian graduate, Christopher has continued serving Mass on Sundays.
I am a graduate of IUSB with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I have taught pre-school, first, and third grades at St. Michael’s in Plymouth and St. Anthony de Padua in South Bend. I am looking forward to getting to know and work with the families, faculty, and staff at St. Matthew Cathedral School. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I look forward to seeing you at Mass and throughout the school year.
God Bless, Gisella A. Mancini
Hello, St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and School Families!
My name is Addison Gring. I am new to St. Matthew this year and will be teaching 4th grade. What is most exciting about teaching at St. Matthew this year is that I am returning after going to school here 8 years ago! I look forward to teaching students a love of reading and different ways to learn math. I also am excited to help my students as they continue to develop their Catholic faith, especially as we explore the saints in preparation for All Saints Day. I enjoy being outside, playing volleyball, and reading. I also love spending time with my family and my fiancé and will be getting married in May! I look forward to the many adventures the new school year will bring here at St. Matthew Cathedral School, and I can't wait to meet you all throughout this school year!
