Our students celebrate the past, present, and future in education. From learning the 2000 year-old game of Chess, to celebrating the 100th day of the 2019 school year, to setting our sights on future careers, students at St. Matthew Cathedral School love to celebrate excellence in education!

On Saturday, February 23, the St. Matthew Cathedral community came together to test our sports acumen during Trivia Night in the gym. This year’s theme was “Sports Trivia”, and the night proved a competitive race to the top among almost 20 teams. Many thanks to our participants from the church and school community, the many businesses and individuals who donated wonderful items for the silent auction, and the HASA organizers (especially Mary Jordan) who made the evening such a success!

School has many future chefs in the making!

St. Matthew Cathedral School’s HASA put together a spectacular event which gave fathers and daughters the opportunity to dance the night away! With the theme “Under the Sea”, this year’s Daddy-Daughter Dance was filled with love, laughter, and line dancing.

2019 marks an enormous milestone for the Cathedral School of St. Matthew: 90 years of excellence in Catholic education!

Since 1929, the Cathedral School of St. Matthew has been blazing a trail in Catholic education! To commemorate this milestone, the school is holding a design contest for all current and former students, families, parishioners, faculty, and staff.

The Easter Bunny wasn’t the only one hopping around during Easter! Our Second Grade students enjoyed their Pilgrimage that took them “Church Hopping” throughout Mishawaka. The students visited the churches of St. Anthony de Padua, St. Monica, and St. Joseph, where they learned about the different parts of the church and saw how each church represents each aspect differently.

How Great Though Arts!

The Cathedral School of St. Matthew has a long-standing tradition of excellence in the Arts. Our students receive an outstanding and well-rounded education from top-notch teachers, but they are also given the opportunity to participate in Fine Arts activities outside of school hours.
